Retrospective analysis of pregnancy outcomes of 87 patients with pregnancy syphilis

Abstract: The data of 87 pregnant syphilis patients in our hospital diagnosed from January 1st, 2015 to December 31, 2018 was analyzed retrospectively. Of 87 patients, 80 were latent syphilis, 4 were pristmary syphilis, and 3 were secondary syphilis. Of 80 latent syphilis patients, the RPR titer was ≤1:4 in 59 patients, ≥1:8 in 21. Of the 7 primary syphilis and secondary syphilis patients, the RPR titer was ≤1:4 in one patient and ≥1:8 in 6 patients. Of 87 patients, 72 (82.76%) patients were treated during pregnancy. The occurence adverse pregnancy outcomes was 23.53%, of which congenital syphilis accunted for 3.80%. The serum RPR titer, gestational weeks at the time of syphilis diagnosis, and treatment were associated with the adverse pregnancy outcome (Ps<0.05).
