Photodynamic therapy of 5-aminolevulinic acid in the treatment of squamous cell carcinoma of lower lip: a case report

Abstract: Photodynamic therapy is a non-invasive treatment that selectively eliminates tumor cells without damaging normal tissues or cells. A 68-year-old patient with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma was reported in this paper,. After 7 times of 5-aminolevulinic acid photodynamic therapy, the tumor completely regressed, and there was no recurrence observed during 1-year follow-up.
