Abstract: We report a 40-year-old female with recurrent painful erythema nodosum on the limbs for more than 6 years. She was diagnosed and treated according to “erythema nodosum” for 19 times in other hospitals. The patient was diagnosed as borderline metachronous leprosy (BL) with neuritis by skin tissue fluid and pathological examination four years ago. Type Ⅱ leprosy reaction occurred frequently during anti-leprosy treatment. The patient has been treated with anti-neuritis and leprosy reaction based on thalidomide and prednisone for more than 4 years, and the therapeutic effect is obvious.
