Abstract: In vivo reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) is a technique characterized by real time, noninvasive visualization and dynamic monitoring of the changes of cell morphology and the skin structure. The RCM image features are in accordance with the pathology image in some skin diseases. In this paper the role of RCM in the diagnosis, evaluation of the efficacy and improvement of the inflammatory skin diseases are reviewed.
