Analysis of leprosy relapsed cases in Guangxi from 2010 to 2020

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the features of leprosy relapsed cases in Guangxi from 2010 to 2020. Methods: The data of leprosy relapsed cases from National Leprosy Prevention Management Information System in Guangxi from 2010 to 2020 were collected for a descriptive analyses. Results: After the exclusion of 1 patient for incomplete medical records, complete data were obtained in 42 leprosy relapsed cases. Of 42 case, 31 (73.8%) were males, 11(26.2%) were  females, and the average age was (53.79±18.38) years old. 41 (97.6%) had cutaneous lesions, 29 (69.0%) had neuritis, 6 (14.3%) had type-I reaction, 11 (26.2%) had type-II reaction, 14 (33.3%) had grade II disabilities. 25 (59.5%) of the patients were classified as BL and LL when relapsed. Conclusion: The occurrence of sporadic leprosy relapsed cases still exsit and efforts in detection of leprosy relapsed cases should be strengthened.
