Bullous pemphigoid with positive pemphigus antibody in erythroderma: a case report

Abstract: Erythroderma, also known as exfoliative dermatitis, is an inflammatory disease characterized by flushing and desquamation of more than 90% of the skin. Bullous pemphigoid and pemphigus vulgaris are two different types of autoimmune blister diseases. It is reported that a case of erythroderma who was diagnosed as bullous pemphigoid with positive pemphigus antibody after finishing the auxiliary examination. The disease was controlled after adequate and full course of systematic use of corticosteroids combined with immunosuppressants and intravenous infusion of human immunoglobulin.
