Update of the mast cells and mast cell stabilizers in pathogenesis and treatment of rosacea

Abstract: Mast cells are innate immune cells in human body and participate in diverse immune diseases. It has been proved that mast cell stabilizers that inhibit degranulation and the release of inflammatory mediators could be an effective treatment of rosacea. This review summarizes the research progress in the role of mast cells in the pathogenesis of rosacea and mast cell stabilizers in the treatment of rosacea, aiming to provide a basis for basic research and clinical treatment of rosacea.
