Abstract: Objective:To assess the efficacy of autologous skin grafting combined with pimecrolimus cream in the treatment of vitiligo. Methods:Sixty patients with vitiligo were divided into the treatment group and control group, 30 patients in each. All the patients were treated with autologous skin grafting and the patients in the treatment group were treated with additional 1% pimecrolimus cream, twice a day. The efficacy was assessed after operations of six months. Result: The effective rate and cure rate in the treatment group were 93.3% and 63.3%, which were higher than those in the control group (70% and 33.3%), with significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion: Autologous skin grafting combined with pimecrolimus cream was more effective than autologous skin grafting alone in the treatment of vitiligo.
