Abstract: Objective: To investigate the connection between various dermoscopy vascular patterns and the effectiveness of laser therapy for pediatric port-wine stains (PWS). Methods: The data of the patients with PWS treated with laser treatment  from June 2021 to June 2022 in our hospital were selected. Photographs taken using a digital camera and a dermatoscope before treatment and 1 month after 3 times of treatment, to compare the vascular pattern and analyse changes in lesion area and colour so as to explore the correlation between the dermoscopy vascular patterns and the effectiveness of laser treatment. The differences in age, type of lesion, site of lesion with dermoscopy vascular pattern were also assessed. Results: In the dermoscopy images of PWS included linear vessels (19 cases), dotted and globular vessels (12 cases), reticular vessels (12 cases), short clubbed vessels (9 cases), mixed vessels (3 cases) and the uniform red regional pattern (3 cases), and the effective rates were 84.2%,100%,66.7%,100%,66.7%,33.3% respectively, with significant differences (Ps<0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic effect of pulsed fuel laser is different in the treatment of bright red nevus with different blood vessel patterns, and the model of spot ball, short rod and linear blood vessel are better.
