Abstract: Objective: To detect the distribution of CD163+ tumor associated macrophage in skin squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, Bowen's disease and actinic keratosis. Methods: The distribution of CD163+ tumor associated macrophages under in the normal skin, skin squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, Bowen's disease and actinic keratosis were detected by the immunohistochemitry method (MaxVision). Results: The number of CD163+ tumor associated macrophage in the upper dermis of the normal skin, Bowen's disease and actinic keratosis were (9.5000±1.71594), (43.9200±9.98716) and (49.4000±8.73830) respectively and 42.17241±11.73234 in the tumor stroma of basal cell carcinoma, 65.8421±14.05649 in the tumor stroma and parenchyma of the skin squamous cell carcinoma. Conclusion: The CD163+ tumor associated macrophages may play an important role in the occurrence and development of the common skin epithelial tumors.
