The role of fibroblasts in skin diseases

Abstract: As the largest organ of the body, the health status of the skin is influenced by a variety of cells, among which fibroblasts play an extremely important role. This paper summarizes the functions of fibroblasts in skin diseases, covering their roles in fibrosis, immune regulation, tumor development, pigmentation, hair follicle development, and skin aging. In addition, this paper also explores therapeutic strategies targeting fibroblasts to provide new perspectives for the clinical treatment of skin diseases.
