Abstract: Objective:To determine the dermoscopic features of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) in order to be used as a reference for the clinical diagnosis. Methods: The dermoscopic images of BCC lesions from 71 patents (71 tissues pathologically?diagnosed) were analyzed. Results: The main dermoscopic features of BCC were large blue-gray ovoid nests (78.9%), scatter pattern of vessels (74.6%), multiple blue-gray non-aggregated globules (60.6%), ulceration (57.7%), leaf-like areas (21.1%). The agreement of the clinical diagnosis with dermoscopy was increased by 40% compared to the clinical diagnosis without dermascopy. Conclusion: Dermoscopy can increase the agreement of clinical diagnosis of BCC.
